Just a little bit about me…
Born in the USA but home is the UK for the last 38 years. Having lived in London for 15 years I traded life in the city for the countryside and the glorious surroundings of East Anglia.
My yoga journey started as a late teen when I came upon a yoga class held at a local art studio which piqued my interest. From then on, I continued an ebb and flow relationship with yoga, practicing in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin styles.


My interest has always been in the body, how it functions, and how I can get the best from it. My background in the States was as a graduate in Dental Hygiene (BSc), once in London I pursued my interest in the fitness field working as an Aerobics Teacher, Personal Fitness Trainer, and qualified in Nutritional Therapy. I was also privileged to have worked behind the scenes within the fitness field as Head of Administration and Corporate Membership for a large leisure group in the City of London.


Upon entering a significant decade in my life, there came a change in lifestyle circumstances and unforeseen health issues; a bout of Lyme’s Disease was followed by a diagnosis of Lupus Erythematosus. I discovered that yoga became the valuable tool I needed to assist and guide me through functioning on a daily basis, fine tuning the mind to the body through movement, breath awareness, and restoration.


My yoga practice is greatly influenced by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, placing emphasis on creating the right conditions within ourselves to feel and heal from
within. To quote Diane Long a student of Vanda’s :


I embarked a on 200-hour teacher training course through Intelligent Yoga with Catherine Annis and fellow professionals within the field of dance, anatomy,
osteopathy and philosophy and awarded a yoga teaching qualification through Yoga Alliance Professionals.


My style of teaching includes Hatha, Yin and Restorative. I currently teach classes at a private studio in Bardwell, Suffolk and at The Space in Burston, Norfolk, and offer
private tuition.
